Term 4 Performing Arts

This term in Performing Arts, students in Prep to Year 4 are learning about the wonderful world of puppetry. Throughout this unit, students will be exposed to various forms of puppetry including: Finger and Hand puppets, Shadow, Marionettes, Bunraku (Japanese Puppet Theatre) and Wayang Kulit (Shadow puppets of Indonesia).

Students in Prep-Year 2 will focus on finger, hand and shadow puppets, working towards creating their own shadow puppet plays.

Students in Year 3 and 4 will focus on shadow puppets and the Wayang Kulit (Shadow puppets of Indonesia).

Students in Year 5 and 6 will continue focusing on their Improvisation unit, building upon their skills in this learning area and playing various Theatre Sports games.


Don’t forget to tune in to the screening of the Victorian State School Spectacular on Sunday 20th October on Channel 7, 2.30-4.30pm.
