Buddies
Every student at St Kilda Primary has a ‘buddy’ that they are matched up with at the beginning of each year. The Prep children buddy up with Year 5/6, Year 1 with Year 4, and Year 2 children ‘buddy’ with the Year 3. Having a ‘buddy’ means a friend you can call on at school.
Positive relationships are highly valued at our school and our buddy program provides opportunities for children across the school to make connections with each other in informal and formal ways. Buddy activities can include creating artwork together, having lunch or just playing and having fun together. All the younger children love having a special person at school that they can go to during the day to share their successes and support them when they need assistance.
