St Kilda Primary School opened in January 1875. When it first opened it had 604 students with 12 teachers. In 1913, the school (then amalgamated with another primary school nearby), had over 1,269 students. It now is much less crowded with 360 students.
Every Government school, both primary and secondary, develops a Strategic Plan which outlines the school’s priorities and goals over a three year period. These goals and priorities relate to improving the educational outcomes for the children. The progress of the school is reported each year at the school’s Annual Reporting to Parents meeting in March/April.
